Role Description

Professional Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager / Scrum Master to lead technology initiatives, manage project delivery, and facilitate Agile practices across cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have strong project planning, stakeholder management, risk mitigation, governance, and Agile delivery experience, preferably within the healthcare, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences industry.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project & Program Management

Manage technology projects from initiation through implementation and delivery.

Define project scope, timelines, milestones, resource requirements, budgets, and deliverables.

Track project progress, dependencies, risks, issues, and change requests.

Ensure timely delivery while maintaining project quality and alignment with business objectives.

2. Agile & Scrum Master Responsibilities

Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

Coach teams on Agile and Scrum best practices, promoting collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Partner with Product Owners to refine backlogs, prioritize user stories, and establish sprint goals.

Identify and remove impediments affecting team productivity and delivery.

3. Stakeholder & Vendor Management

Collaborate with business stakeholders, product managers, engineering teams, IT leadership, and external vendors.

Provide regular project status reports, dashboards, and updates on risks, milestones, and deliverables.

Coordinate resource allocation, vendor onboarding, contracts, SOWs, purchase orders, and budget tracking as required.

Facilitate communication and resolve delivery-related issues across teams.

4. Governance & Risk Management

Establish project governance, reporting mechanisms, and delivery metrics.

Proactively identify project risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks.

Maintain project documentation, risk registers, action items, and decision logs.

Ensure adherence to organizational policies and relevant industry standards.

Required Qualifications

8-12+ years of experience in project management, program delivery, or technology delivery.

Hands-on experience as a Project Manager and Scrum Master.

Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and preferably SAFe.

Experience managing cross-functional technology teams and multiple project dependencies.

Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar tools.

Excellent communication, stakeholder management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Experience in healthcare, life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other regulated industries is preferred.

Preferred Certifications

PMP

Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM)

PMI-ACP or SAFe Agilist
