The Project Manager for the Architecture Department will function as the project lead and will manage project schedules, budget, quality and coordination with all consultants. They will be a self-starter with proactive work habits who can work independently and as a team player both within the fast-paced Architecture department and throughout Clark Pacific as needed to deliver successful projects on time and within the assigned budget.

Pay Range: $115,000 - $150,000 annually depending on experience.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Exercise a high level of professionalism and confidentiality when working with staff, projects and proprietary information.
  • Lead project teams in the coordination of conceptual design, delivery documents including red line markups, Requests for Information (RFIs), preparation for construction documents and coordination with other disciplines.
  • Coordinate with design consultants as required.
  • Coordinate with other departments in Clark Pacific to initiate, respond to, and advance collaborative efforts.
  • Coordinate with Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) for Permitting compliance as required by project.
  • Coordinate with General Contracting as required.
  • Manage architectural design project budgets.
  • Report to Director of Architecture regarding project and budget status, in addition to identified issues and potential solutions.
  • Present project information internally through presentations in meetings and conference calls to update all on status, solutions, and overview.

  • Proven experience managing design consultants.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to effectively listen and engage with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to build strong relationships; lead, engage, and motivate teams representing diverse backgrounds and viewpoints; exceptionally collaborative.
  • Ability to maintain attentiveness to detail and accuracy throughout involvement in multiple projects without losing sight of goals and deadlines. 
  • Excellent organization skills to drive topics with multiple stakeholders/interests.
  • Problem solving skills that aim to remedy and prevent reoccurrence.

 Work Environment

  • General office environment will be experienced.
  • There will be periodic exposure to manufacturing environments which may present hazards such as noise, electricity, chemicals, heavy equipment, and other automated and manual machinery.
  • Exposure to field construction environments which may include walking on rough terrain and working at significant elevations.
  • There will be periodic exposure to outside weather conditions, including extreme cold and extreme heat, wet and/or humid environments.

Experience and Education

  • Required Education: Bachelor of Arts /Emphasis on Architecture (4yr degree)
  • Preferred Education: Bachelor of Architecture (5yr degree – professional)
  • Experience: 8+ years
  • Experience with Commercial Projects required.
  • Experience with California Building Code / CAL Green codes required
