Project Manager

POSITION / TITLE: Program / Project ManagerSALARY: $70k-$75kLOCATION: Auburn, ALThe Program/Project Manager manages all aspects of new program introduction and launches to ensure a timely and effective implementation.DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projectsEnsure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budgetAssist in the development of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibilityDevelop detailed project plans to monitor and track progressCoordinate activities with global colleagues to ensure an effective hand-off of projectsManage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniquesMeasure project performance using appropriate tools and techniquesReport and escalate issues to management as neededSuccessfully manage the OEM customer relationship with engineering, purchasing, SQE's and other technical staff to complete the DVP&R, resolve technical issues, and coordinate engineering changesPrepare gate presentations, progress reports, and present status to the OEM customers as requiredResponsible and has authority to take action to ensure that the Quality of the product meets or exceeds the customer's expectationsCreate and maintain comprehensive project documentationOther duties as assigned by the General ManagerREQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferredMinimum of 3 years of automotive industry experience in a hands-on program management related role for a Tier 1 supplierPrior experience with Automotive OEM's required, including a track record of successful interaction with Customers and ability to communicate with senior-level customer staff at automotive OEM'sExperience with VDA standards and practices and with the PPAP (AIAG) processExperience with automotive stampings and assembly preferredPosition requires approximately 30% travel (both day and overnight trips)Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project; Experience working in SAP preferredWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand or sitExposure to plant environment, including elements such as noise, dust, heat, or cold
