JSI Store Fixtures, an LSI Industries company, is trusted by North America's leading grocery and retail brands to create innovative and eye-catching display fixtures and millwork. For more than 30 years, JSI has been designing and manufacturing its display fixtures across its four North American locations.

About the Role:

The Project Manager plays a key role in driving the growth of our custom store fixture manufacturing company by managing the entire process from sales to delivery and installation of custom fixtures, including millwork, metal, refrigeration products, specialty cabinetry, casework, and related solutions for retailers, convenience stores, restaurants, supermarkets, and other commercial uses. This position ensures projects meet customer specifications for design, functionality, quality, timeliness, and profitability while providing high-level communication across sales, manufacturing, installation teams, and customers. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, highly organized, with exceptional attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and a focus on building and maintaining customer relationships to expand our well-established base.

Education and/or experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in project management within the manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft products and other project management software, like Smartsheet.
• Strong understanding of project life cycle methodologies and best practices.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Knowledge or background in woodworking and/or Metal fabrication, design, CAD, shop experience, and project management, with extensive understanding of processes and materials related to custom store fixtures.
• Ability to read a tape measure
• Read blueprints and/or architectural plans
• Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, demanding, multi-task environment.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills for high-level interactions with co-workers, vendors, and customers.
• Proficient basic math skills and detail-oriented approach.
• Ability to work harmoniously with teams, adapt quickly to changes, and commit to continuous learning and growth.

Education and/or Experience:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in project management, architectural, construction, engineering, or a related field, or commensurate experience.
• Minimum five (5) years of relevant work experience in project management, design, or manufacturing, preferably in custom fixtures or related industries.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive project plans and schedules using Microsoft Project and other project management tools.
• Coordinate and lead cross-functional project teams, facilitating communication and collaboration among departments such as engineering, production, and quality assurance.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or delays, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.
• Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including status reports, meeting minutes, and change requests.
• Manage project administration tasks such as resource allocation, budget tracking, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Skills:

The required skills such as project coordination, project planning, and scheduling are essential for organizing and directing project activities effectively on a daily basis. Proficiency in Microsoft products, Smartsheet, and other project management software enables the Project Manager to create detailed timelines, allocate resources efficiently, and track progress against milestones. Strong project documentation and administration skills ensure that all project information is accurately recorded and accessible, facilitating transparency and informed decision-making. Understanding the project life cycle allows the manager to anticipate challenges and implement strategies that maintain momentum and quality throughout the project duration. Preferred skills like Lean Manufacturing and PMP certification enhance the ability to optimize processes, reduce waste, and lead projects with a higher level of professionalism and strategic insight.
