Projects may include product launches and product territory expansions, BLA/NDA filing activities, regulatory query responses and management or coordination for GVP and/or GCP inspection readiness. Some projects, such as product filings and subsequent launch planning activities are more than 12 months in duration, or the lifecycle of a marketed product. The project manager is also responsible for developing the basic project management structure (e.g. Charter, Stakeholder Register, RACI, WBS, Schedule) for the management and assurance of success in the execution of key deliverables through collaboration with Drug Safety project team members and other stakeholders, as necessary. Over the course of the project, the project manager is responsible for ensuring project timelines are agreed upon, communicated clearly and regularly, and also aligned with the business needs of Drug Safety and additional cross-functional stakeholders. As such, the project manager is responsible for monitoring and managing the project schedule including mitigations and risks to project success, negotiating and resolving issues as they arise. Overall, the project manager will need to work in a face-paced environment where they are able to demonstrate their strong leadership capabilities while managing tight timelines in a dynamic cross-functional environment.
