A growing environmental consulting and construction services firm with a strong presence across California, is seeking a Mid-Level Project Manager to support its expanding Construction and Field Services team in the San Francisco Bay Area. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on construction and environmental professional who enjoys managing complex field projects, collaborating across teams, and contributing to meaningful infrastructure and environmental work.

What You'll Do as the Mid-Level Project Manager:

  • Manage environmental construction and field service projects from planning through completion
  • Coordinate field activities, subcontractors, technical staff, and project stakeholders
  • Interpret project plans, specifications, and contract documents to support execution
  • Prepare estimates, quantity takeoffs, subcontractor bid comparisons, and project proposals
  • Develop scopes of work and technical approaches for client projects
  • Support field oversight activities in coordination with construction leadership
  • Track project budgets, schedules, and change orders throughout the project lifecycle
  • Coordinate material procurement, equipment deliveries, and field logistics
  • Maintain project documentation, daily reports, and compliance records
  • Prepare and update project schedules using CPM scheduling tools such as MS Project
  • Perform stormwater inspections, soil or water sampling, and air monitoring as needed
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and client requirements
  • Travel to project sites throughout the Bay Area and occasionally support longer-term field assignments

Must-Haves as the Mid-Level Project Manager:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Environmental Science, Geology, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in environmental construction, civil construction, remediation, or related industries
  • Experience managing field operations, subcontractors, and project documentation
  • Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, and field coordination
  • Experience with budgeting, scheduling, and cost tracking
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment
  • Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to meet pre-employment physical, background check, and drug/alcohol screening requirements

Nice-to-Haves as the Mid-Level Project Manager:

  • Experience preparing estimates and proposals
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D or Trimble Business Center
  • GPS surveying and grade checking experience
  • HAZWOPER 40-hour certification
  • Professional certifications such as PE, PG, QSP, or QSD
  • Experience supporting environmental compliance or remediation projects
