Project Manager D365 SCM Onsite Enablement (Gastonia, N.C.)

Location: Gastonia, N.C. - 4 days onsite in Gastonia, one day remote.



Position Summary
The Organization is seeking a dedicated Project Manager to oversee the onsite implementation and enablement of enterprise resource planning systems at a manufacturing facility. This role involves coordinating daily activities related to system integration, managing priorities, schedules, stakeholder communication, issue resolution, and progress reporting. The Project Manager will support the smooth execution of project phases, ensuring alignment with key milestones and organizational needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage onsite engagement coordination, including weekly priorities, work plans, meeting schedules, and stakeholder communication.
• Track and manage open issues, risks, action items, decisions, dependencies, and escalation items related to testing, training, readiness, and go-live activities.
• Coordinate with business units, IT teams, plant operations, and external implementation partners to maintain scope and timing alignment.
• Assist in planning for project readiness milestones such as User Acceptance Testing (UAT), training, cutover, go-live, and post-implementation support.
• Prepare clear and concise status updates, meeting notes, executive summaries, and progress dashboards.
• Ensure consultants and team members stay focused on enablement, knowledge transfer, and issue resolution within scope.
• Identify potential project risks early and collaborate with stakeholders to develop mitigation plans and next steps.

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of 7 years of project management experience supporting enterprise software, supply chain, manufacturing, or related programs.
• Experience coordinating enterprise resource planning (ERP) initiatives or similar technology projects.
• Strong skills in stakeholder communication, status reporting, risk management, and action item tracking.
• Proven experience working in manufacturing, supply chain, or plant operations environments.
• Certification in project management methodologies such as PMP, Agile, or experience with Microsoft Project is advantageous.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting or coordinating systems such as D365, Dynamics AX, SAP, or Oracle.
• Background in manufacturing, automotive, warehouse operations, or supply chain programs is highly preferred.
