Description

We are looking for someone to oversee public works and California Division of the State Architect (DSA) construction projects. The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, execution, budgeting, scheduling, client communication, and overall project success from preconstruction through closeout.

Our client is a rapidly growing and highly respected General Contractor specializing in DSA and LAUSD construction projects throughout Orange County. They are also a leading heavy civil and utility contractor delivering complex infrastructure projects. Our team is known for safety, quality, innovation, and successful execution of large-scale utility and transportation projects.

Description

Our Project Manager will be resonsible for:

  • Lead DSA-regulated construction projects from award through completion.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost forecasts.
  • Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, inspectors, and DSA representatives.
  • Manage subcontractor procurement, negotiations, and contract administration.
  • Monitor project progress, safety compliance, quality control, and risk management.
  • Review RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with DSA requirements, building codes, and public agency standards.
  • Conduct project meetings and provide regular reporting to leadership and clients.
  • Manage project financial performance and profitability.
  • Support project closeout, punch list completion, and warranty activities.

Profile

The ideal Project Manager will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of Project Management experience on DSA projects.
  • Experience with K-12, higher education, or public agency construction.
  • Strong knowledge of California DSA processes and documentation requirements.
  • Proven experience managing budgets exceeding $10M.
  • Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, MS Project, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
