Project Manager & Estimator - Steel Fab/Erection

A Kansas City steel fabricator and erector focused on structural and miscellaneous steel packages wants an Estimator / Project Manager who can price the work and then see it through. The role suits an early- to mid-career professional looking to develop in both estimating and project management.

What you'll be responsible for:

• Take awarded jobs through fabrication and erection, with ownership of change orders, budget, and schedule
• Complete takeoffs and estimates for miscellaneous and structural steel packages
• Prepare bids and proposals and request quotes for erection, coatings, and detailing
• Track project costs and manage the RFI and submittal process
• Work closely with field crews, the shop, detailers, and general contractors

What helps you succeed:

• 2-8 years working in steel estimating, project management, or related construction
• Skill reading structural and architectural drawings
• Familiarity with estimating software is a plus
• Understanding of miscellaneous and structural metals scopes
• An engineering or construction management degree, or equivalent experience, is preferred

Compensation: $75,000 - $105,000, plus a yearly bonus opportunity and a sign-on bonus for top candidates joining from competitors.
