Project Manager/Estimator

Estimating & Preconstruction

• Review plans, specifications, and bid documents to prepare accurate project estimates.
• Perform quantity takeoffs for earthwork, utilities, paving, drainage, and related civil scopes.
• Solicit and evaluate quotations from subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.
• Develop detailed project budgets and bid proposals.
• Identify project risks, scope gaps, and value engineering opportunities.
• Participate in bid strategy and project pursuit meetings.

Project Management

• Manage projects from award through closeout.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and milestone tracking.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, field personnel, and equipment resources.
• Monitor project performance related to schedule, budget, quality, and safety.
• Review and approve subcontractor invoices, pay applications, and purchase orders.
• Prepare and negotiate change orders and contract modifications.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in civil construction estimating and project management.
• Strong knowledge of sitework, excavation, utilities, paving, and infrastructure projects.
• Experience preparing competitive estimates and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Strong negotiation, leadership, and client-facing communication skills.
• Proficiency with estimating and project management software.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Valid driver's license and ability to visit project sites throughout New Jersey and the surrounding region.
