They foster a collaborative culture focused on excellence, professional development, innovation, and long-term career growth.Job DescriptionThe Project Manager - Federal/Commercial - D.C. will be responsible for:Managing all phases of construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.Serving as the primary point of contact between clients, field teams, subcontractors, consultants, and company leadership.Leading project planning, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, procurement, and overall project execution.Developing, maintaining, and analyzing CPM schedules, including updates and schedule impact assessments.Overseeing subcontractor buyout, procurement, contract administration, performance, and coordination.Managing project financials, including cost control, forecasting, invoicing, pay applications, and profitability tracking.Administering change orders, project documentation, and contract compliance requirements.Coordinating material procurement and equipment deliveries to support project schedules.Monitoring jobsite safety, quality control, and project performance to ensure successful project delivery.Building and maintaining strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and key stakeholders.Identifying and resolving project risks, conflicts, and challenges in a proactive manner.Providing leadership, mentorship, and support to project engineers and other project team members.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled, protected veterans and all other qualified applicants.The Successful ApplicantThe Project Manager - Federal/Commercial - D.C. should have:Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field required.Minimum of 5 years of construction project management experience.Experience managing complex commercial, institutional, healthcare, higher education, government, or federal construction projects preferred.Proficiency with Procore, Primavera P6, and other construction management software.Strong understanding of CPM scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and project financial management.Experience with subcontractor buyouts, procurement, contract administration, and change order management.Knowledge of project documentation, reporting, and compliance requirements.Demonstrated leadership, team management, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple stakeholders.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.U.S. Citizenship required.Ability to pass a federal background investigation.Ability to pass a drug screening and motor vehicle record review if applicable.Financial and credit review may be conducted, including bankruptcy screening for Project Manager-level candidates.What's on OfferThe Project Manager - Federal/Commercial - D.C. may receive:Competitive base salary up to $150k (depending on previous experience)Healthcare401(k) with matchMonthly auto allowance3 weeks PTO + sick timeBonus potentialContact Isabel Seebold Quote job ref JN-072026-7067375Job SummarySector: ConstructionSub Sector: Project ManagerIndustry: PropertyWhere: District of ColumbiaContract Type: PermanentConsultant name: Isabel SeeboldJob Reference: JN-072026-7067375
