The Project Manager is expected to take ownership of assigned projects, maintain visibility into project performance, communicate proactively, and drive issues toward resolution. Success is measured by the ability to deliver projects safely, profitably, on schedule, and in alignment with customer expectations while maintaining strong relationships and supporting the overall project team.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

Responsibilities<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>

Project Execution<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>

<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p><\/div>

• Manage assigned projects from project turnover through final closeout, taking ownership of project execution, communication, schedule, budget, and customer experience.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/li>

• Review and understand project documents, drawings, specifications, contracts, scope, and customer requirements to establish clear project objectives and identify potential risks, conflicts, and gaps.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/span><\/li>

• Verify precontract and turnover activities to ensure project scope, order requirements, commercial terms, and expectations are clearly understood.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

• Develop and maintain project action plans, schedules, milestones, and deliverables to support successful project execution.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

• Organize, coordinate, and facilitate internal and external project teams to meet project objectives.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

• Monitor project progress and proactively identify and address issues that may impact schedule, cost, quality, or customer expectations.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

• Follow and enforce established project management processes, procedures, and systems to promote consistency and project success.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

Project Coordination & Communication<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>

• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned projects and maintain consistent communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

• Manage project meetings, including preparation of agendas, coordination of participants, documentation of action items, and follow-up on commitments.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

• Maintain clear communication regarding drawings, submittals, schedules, fabrication, delivery, field requirements, changes, and project expectations.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

• Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients, vendors, suppliers, and internal team members.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

Financial & Commercial Management<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>

• Monitor project budgets, payment milestones, change orders, and overall project performance.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

• Review project financial performance regularly and identify potential margin erosion, cost exposure, or opportunities to improve project profitability.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/span><\/li>

• Coordinate with Finance Representatives and Leadership to maintain accurate financial reporting and timely invoicing.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/li>

• Manage project changes, including identification, documentation, pricing, negotiation, approval, and execution.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/span><\/li>

• Assist with final project reconciliation and closeout to ensure financial and contractual requirements are completed.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

Procurement, Fabrication & Delivery<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>

<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p><\/div>

• Establish and maintain production requirements in accordance with project schedules.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

• Coordinate material procurement, production requirements, and delivery schedules to support project milestones.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/span><\/li>

• Coordinate project delivery requirements and work with internal and external resources to resolve logistics issues.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

Risk Management & Problem Solving<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>

<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p><\/div>

• Proactively identify project risks and develop solutions to minimize impacts <\/span>to<\/span> schedule, cost, quality, and customer relationships.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

• Escalate significant project issues to the appropriate leadership when resolution exceeds assigned authority or requires broader organizational support.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

• Maintain appropriate project documentation and records to support project decisions, changes, commitments, and <\/span>closeout<\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

• Work collaboratively with project leadership and cross-functional teams to resolve issues and maintain project momentum.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

Requirements<\/h3>Qualifications & Skills<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b><\/span>

<\/div><\/div>3+ years of project management experience in construction, steel, manufacturing, or related industry.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/li>Experience with Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) systems preferred.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/li>Associate or bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, business, or a related technical field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/li>Strong ability to read, interpret, and understand construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documentation.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/li>Working knowledge of project financial management, including budgets, cash flow, job costing, margins, invoicing, and change management.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/li>Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/li>Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and effectively manage internal and external resources.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/li>Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and negotiation skills.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly communicate technical concepts and project requirements.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/li>Proficient in Microsoft Office.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/li>Experience with CRM and project management/scheduling software.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/li>Experience with Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam, or similar document management tools.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/li>Familiarity with BIM, modeling, or visualization software such as SketchUp, <\/span>BIMsight<\/span>, or similar programs preferred.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/li>Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment and adapt to varying project types and customer requirements.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
