3 Forks Services is hiring an experienced and dependable Project Manager to oversee heavy civil, utility, and commercial civil construction projects in the Williston, ND area.

We are looking for someone who can take ownership of projects from start to finish, manage schedules and crews, coordinate with customers and subcontractors, and make sure work is completed safely, efficiently, on time, and to company standards.

The right candidate will be organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment where communication, accountability, and problem-solving matter every day.



Position Overview


The Project Manager will be responsible for managing day-to-day project operations for heavy civil, underground utility, site development, and commercial civil construction projects.

This position requires strong leadership, field coordination, planning, and communication skills. The Project Manager will work closely with company leadership, field crews, subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, engineers, and customers to keep projects moving and ensure successful completion.



Key Responsibilities


Manage heavy civil, utility, and commercial civil construction projects from start to finish
Coordinate crews, subcontractors, vendors, equipment, materials, and schedules
Review plans, specifications, scopes of work, schedules, and project documents
Track project progress, production, costs, change orders, and deadlines
Communicate regularly with owners, customers, inspectors, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams
Conduct project site visits and coordinate daily or weekly field needs
Identify potential issues early and help resolve problems that may affect schedule, budget, safety, or quality
Assist with project planning, sequencing, and resource allocation
Maintain accurate documentation, including daily updates, project notes, photos, RFIs, change orders, and reports
Ensure work is completed according to plans, specifications, company standards, and customer expectations
Promote and enforce jobsite safety, company policies, and quality standards
Support estimating, bidding, scheduling, and closeout processes as needed



Project Types May Include


Heavy civil construction
Underground utilities
Water, sewer, storm, and drainage systems
Commercial site development
Earthwork and grading
Roadway and access work
Excavation and backfill
Utility infrastructure
Concrete, aggregate, and general civil scopes



Qualifications


Previous project management experience in heavy civil, utility, commercial civil, or related construction required
Strong understanding of civil construction operations, sequencing, and field coordination
Ability to read and understand plans, specifications, scopes, and project documents
Experience coordinating crews, subcontractors, vendors, equipment, and materials
Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities
Experience with RFIs, submittals, change orders, schedules, and project documentation preferred
Basic computer skills required
Experience with construction software, scheduling tools, Bluebeam, Procore, HCSS, Microsoft Project, Excel, or similar programs is a plus
Valid driver's license required
Must be dependable, professional, safety-minded, and able to work independently
