Project Manager II - Hybrid

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Project Manager II - Hybrid position with a Large Energy Company located in Denver, CO or Minneapolis, MN. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

Compensation: $79.00 - $89.00 per hour, W2, based on qualifications

Position Overview:
This role is responsible for overseeing project execution for commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software deployment projects, ensuring deliverables are met on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will manage the project lifecycle using a Waterfall methodology, leading project meetings, coordinating with team members, managing project documentation, and communicating project status to all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee project execution, ensuring deliverables are met on time and within budget
• Manage project scope, timelines, and resources throughout the project lifecycle
• Lead project meetings, coordinate with team members, and manage project documentation
• Address any issues that arise and communicate project status to stakeholders to ensure alignment with goals
• Manage project financials, including actuals/variance analysis and forecasting
• Manage a core project team including a Business Analyst and QA Lead, and direct work to architects, SMEs, and vendor resources

Primary Requirements:

• 10+ years of direct project management experience with Waterfall methodology
• Experience with commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software deployment projects, including integration with legacy systems
• Strong financial management background, including actuals/variance analysis and forecasting
• Experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Office 365, Confluence, and SPM/ServiceNow
• Experience managing project resources and core project teams
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to run effective meetings and workshops
• Creative problem-solving skills and a positive, engaging attitude

Desired Skills:

• An additional 5-10+ years of PM-adjacent experience (PMO, BA, Test Lead)
• Previous utility industry experience
• PMP or equivalent certification
• Accrual-based accounting experience
• Vendor management and RFP experience
