The Project Manager II ensures projects are executed to technical and contractual requirements, maintains accurate project data in ERP systems, and supports the financial health of each project, including budgeting, forecasting, and billing readiness.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple projects from kickoff through final customer acceptance, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery and adherence to scope.
  • Lead end-to-end project execution, including planning, design, procurement, manufacturing, integration, testing, and delivery for switchgear, controls, relay panels, and related building products.
  • Own and control project scope, schedule, cost, and overall performance, proactively identifying and addressing deviations and risks.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers on assigned projects, maintaining strong communication, transparency, and satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to align internal execution with customer requirements, ensuring engineering, manufacturing, and operations remain synchronized.
  • Lead internal and customer kickoff meetings, clearly defining objectives, deliverables, timelines, and responsibilities, and drive ongoing project update meetings.
  • Communicate technical and contractual requirements to internal teams to ensure alignment with specifications, standards, and contractual obligations.
  • Allocate resources and prioritize project activities to meet deadlines and milestones, adjusting plans as needed to keep projects on track.
  • Manage vendors and subcontractors to ensure their scope, schedule, and deliverables meet project requirements and quality standards.
  • Monitor and report project status, risks, and progress to stakeholders, providing regular updates on milestones, issues, and corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with documentation standards, contractual terms, and company processes, maintaining accurate and complete project records.
  • Support invoicing activities, track payments, and manage project financials, including budget tracking, forecast updates, and billing readiness.
  • Develop and maintain ETC/EAC (Estimate to Complete / Estimate at Completion) for assigned projects, ensuring financial forecasts remain accurate and up to date.
  • Approve shipments and ensure all deliverables meet customer expectations, technical specifications, and quality requirements before release.
  • Drive project closeout activities, including documentation, final reporting, and securing formal customer acceptance.
  • Own standard project execution from order handoff through closeout, ensuring consistent application of project management processes and tools.
  • Manage project schedules, milestones, action plans, and execution follow-up, ensuring all tasks are completed and dependencies are managed.
  • Execute routine contract obligations, maintain scope control, and ensure commercial terms are followed throughout the project.
  • Identify, document, and pursue changes to scope and commercial terms under normal project conditions, including change orders and contract adjustments.
  • Coordinate cross-functional issue resolution to keep standard projects on track, escalating and resolving technical or operational challenges as needed.
  • Maintain project data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness in Dynamics BC and other reporting tools, supporting reliable reporting and decision-making.
  • Support high-volume project execution for the medium- and low-voltage product lines, balancing multiple concurrent projects and priorities.

Essential Skills

  • At least 4 years of professional project management experience, with full scope responsibility including financials, schedule, client-facing communication, and production coordination.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in manufacturing, industrial engineering, construction, or similar industrial environments.
  • Strong project management skills across the full product development and delivery lifecycle, from planning and design through manufacturing, testing, and delivery.

  • Experience with budget tracking, forecast updates, ETC/EAC development, and preparation for billing and invoicing.
  • Familiarity with contract execution, scope control, and commercial follow-through for industrial or construction-related projects.
  • Experience identifying, documenting, and pursuing scope changes and change orders under normal project conditions.
  • Proficiency in using ERP systems, including experience with Dynamics BC or similar ERP platforms for project data and reporting.
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
