Job Description

Top National Design-Build Gc | Full Project Ownership

My client is a nationally recognized general contractor delivering large-scale commercial, industrial, and multifamily projects across the country. Their Indianapolis office is in a major growth phase, backed by a strong $150M+ backlog and a pipeline of $20M-$70M projects. What really sets them apart is their fully integrated approach, with architects and engineers in-house, giving the construction team exposure to the entire project life cycle from design through delivery. They operate in a highly collaborative environment and are looking for curious, driven, self-motivated individuals who want to take ownership, grow quickly, and build a long-term career with the company.

Job Description

Take full ownership of projects from preconstruction through final closeout, driving schedule, budget, quality, and execution from start to finish. Lead project teams, subcontractors, and vendors, holding all parties accountable to schedule, scope, and project expectations. Own project financials, including budget management, cost forecasting, change orders, billing, and overall project profitability. Drive procurement, subcontractor buyout, scope leveling, and contract negotiations to mitigate risk and protect the bottom line. Develop and maintain master project schedules and look-aheads, identifying potential delays early and driving solutions before they impact the critical path. Lead communication with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal operations teams, serving as the central point of contact throughout the build. Proactively manage RFIs, submittals, change management, and project documentation to keep field operations moving. Maintain accountability around safety, quality control, contract compliance, and closeout, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
