Project Manager - K-12 Construction

A well-established commercial builder in the Chicago suburbs is looking for a Project Manager to lead K-12 school projects from preconstruction through closeout. You'll work closely with district leaders, architects and field teams to deliver new schools, additions and renovations on time and on budget, often on tight summer schedules.

What You'll Do
• Manage K-12 projects from preconstruction through closeout, including new builds, additions and occupied-campus renovations
• Own budgets, schedules, buyout, change orders and monthly cost reporting
• Serve as the main point of contact for school districts, owners' reps and design teams
• Coordinate closely with superintendents to plan phasing around the school calendar and keep students and staff safe
• Lead subcontractor coordination, RFIs, submittals and owner meetings

What You Bring
• 5+ years of project management experience with a general contractor
• K-12 or other public sector project experience strongly preferred
• Solid understanding of public bidding, prevailing wage and phased, occupied-site work
• Strong communication skills and a steady, organized approach
• A degree in construction management, engineering or a related field is a plus

What We Offer
• $105,000 – $140,000 per year, based on experience
