Job Description

Project Manager

The Project Manager will be responsible for managing construction projects from preconstruction planning through completion and closeout. They will develop and maintain project schedules, budgets and forecasts to ensure successful delivery. The Project Manager will coordinate and lead communication between owners, design teams, subcontractors and field personnel. They will oversee contract administration, change order management and project documentation. The Project Manager will monitor project financial performance and proactively identify opportunities to improve profitability. They will lead project meetings and provide regular progress updates to internal and external stakeholders. Ensuring compliance with all safety, quality and regulatory requirements is also part of the role. The Project Manager will support procurement and subcontractor selection activities. They will identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to maintain project objectives. Additionally, they will mentor and support Assistant Project Managers and project team members.

The Project Manager must have a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline preferred. They should have 5+ years of experience managing commercial construction projects for a general contractor. Proven experience overseeing projects ranging from renovations and additions to large-scale institutional or public-sector work is required. The Project Manager should have a strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, cost control and contract administration. Experience managing multiple stakeholders in complex project environments is necessary. Proficiency with construction management software and project documentation platforms is also required. Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills are essential. The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment is crucial. Knowledge of historic restoration, government, educational, healthcare or mission-critical projects is highly desirable.
