IT PROJECT MANAGER
Location: Remote
Pay: $70–$73/hour
Position Type: Long Term Contract, W2
JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead and oversee software delivery and technology projects from planning through implementation. This role will manage project scope, schedules, resources, risks, deliverables, and stakeholder communication while coordinating across technical teams and business partners.
The ideal candidate brings strong IT project leadership experience, hands-on knowledge of Agile/Scrum or hybrid delivery methods, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and executive-level stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and oversee all aspects of one or more IT projects from initiation through delivery
- Define project scope, requirements, objectives, and deliverables with stakeholders
- Develop, maintain, and execute detailed project plans and schedules
- Coordinate project activities, resources, milestones, and release plans
- Manage software delivery utilizing Agile/Scrum or hybrid methodologies
- Track sprints, project status, risks, issues, dependencies, and key decisions
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation or corrective action plans
- Lead project meetings, presentations, briefings, milestone reviews, and status updates
- Participate in change control processes, including evaluation of change requests
- Support requirements analysis, quality assurance, and project documentation
- Conduct or support feasibility studies, cost-benefit analyses, and related project research
- Ensure projects comply with applicable policies, standards, procedures, and security requirements
- Coordinate systems integration and technology implementation activities
- Ensure appropriate training materials and project documentation are developed and available to end users
- Prepare clear executive-level status updates and decision memos
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of project/program management experience
- Minimum 3 years of project management experience in a lead capacity
- At least 2 years of experience supporting IT delivery programs
- Experience managing software delivery projects
- Strong experience with Agile/Scrum or hybrid project methodologies
- Experience with sprint tracking, status reporting, risk management, and decision logs
- Experience with Azure DevOps or GitHub Projects for work-item tracking and delivery reporting
- Working knowledge of REST API concepts
- Working knowledge of FHIR R4 or similar interoperability concepts and terminology
- Strong understanding of project planning, requirements analysis, risk management, quality assurance, change management, and systems integration
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and executive leadership
- Strong leadership, organization, decision-making, problem-solving, and team-building skills
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION
- Bachelor’s degree required; additional qualifying experience may substitute for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis
- Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI is required
- PMP certification cannot be substituted with additional experience
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The selected candidate will be required to complete a Live Scan/background fingerprinting process, with appointment coordination provided after selection.
