Project Manager

MEMCO is hiring a Construction Project Manager in Nashville, TN!

Monday-Friday; 7am-4pm; Saturdays 7am-12pm.

Pay: $110k

Hybrid Job: 80% in office or onsite.

Job Overview:

As a Project Manager, you will oversee commercial construction projects from project turnover through closeout, ensuring schedules, budgets, documentation, and customer expectations are successfully managed. You will work closely with estimators, sales teams, field supervision, subcontractors, and customers to deliver projects safely, efficiently, and on schedule. This is a deadline-driven role requiring strong organization, communication, and leadership skills in a fast-paced construction environment.

Responsibilities:

• Review construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documents.
• Manage project documentation, including submittals, shop drawings, purchase orders, RFIs, and change orders.
• Attend scope review meetings, pre-construction meetings, and site visits.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and timelines.
• Coordinate and communicate regularly with customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Lead project turnover from estimating and sales through project execution.
• Complete monthly pay applications and invoicing.
• Lead weekly project and staff meetings.
• Manage subcontractors and oversee project progress to ensure milestones are achieved.
• Identify potential project risks and implement solutions before issues impact schedule or budget.
• Coordinate internal and external resources to support project execution.
• Support field supervisors by scheduling labor, materials, and equipment.
• Oversee warranty administration and project closeout documentation.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of commercial construction project management experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience reviewing and negotiating construction contracts.
• Strong knowledge of commercial construction processes, project scheduling, and budgeting.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and presentation skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with Microsoft Project, Procore, and Microsoft Office preferred.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to travel approximately 30% or more as needed.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements:

• Hybrid position with approximately 80% of time spent in the office or on project sites.
• Ability to travel to project sites, customer meetings, and training events as needed.
• Must be able to walk active construction sites and navigate uneven terrain.
• Must be able to work in varying weather conditions during site visits.
• Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods.
