Project Manager

Pay Range: $50-55/hr
Job Description: Call Outs: Can be either remote or onsite, 40 hours a week exact schedule can be determined later, preferred software experience with ServiceNow SMP, project governance and project management experience and scheduling experience preferred. Work location LA.

POSITION PURPOSE:
The role of the Manager, Project Controls is to provide leadership to teams in the achievement of the requirements of IT's Stage Gate Process (SGP) and project management and controls standards. It is accountable for the activities which identify, monitor, and report on project cost, schedule, issues, and risks across strategic IT programs.
The Manager, Project Controls is a highly visible role that interacts regularly wWith IT project stakeholders. Provides day to day management of project control team members who are responsible for core functions of the Stage Gate Process, including all cost control, scheduling, and PMO operations functions for strategic IT programs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 7+ years of project controls experience for projects in the technology sector
• Bachelor’s and above degree in Computer Science, Information & Technology, MIS, Business or equivalent work experience.
• Superior skills using multiple SDLC techniques (e.g. Waterfall, Agile)
• Expert knowledge of the fundamentals of scheduling, cost control, and risk management.
• Solid understanding of Project Management and Project Management Office
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of employment legislation and compliance requirements, HR policies and best
• practices
• Demonstrated experience building and driving people and culture programs from the ground up
• Ability to build and maintain relationships, partnerships and external networks
• Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision and work effectively in a collaborative team environment
• Excellent researching, decision-making and organizational skills are required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Working knowledge of Primavera Project Management Systems
• Work independently and follows through on assignments with minimal direction while keeping the team informed
• Possess a mastery of basic/generic data skills (tools & concepts)
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection and other guidelines where appropriate

PREFERRED:

• Active PMP Certification
• Active Agile Certification
• Primavera Certification
