Job Summary:
We are seeking a results-driven Project Manager to lead and support initiatives that enhance asset monitoring, data integration, and digital tools within Substation Operations. This role will oversee the execution of key projects, including the implementation of Camlin Client, enhancements to APM (Asset Performance Management), and emerging efforts involving AI, Snowflake, and Augmented Reality (AR).
This is a hybrid role requiring at least one day onsite at OGO (possibly two days) and flexibility to work in the San Ramon office. A client's laptop will be provided. The role must be local. In case of any delay in equipment, the vendor must provide a laptop to allow work to begin.
Top Skills: Good project management experience (preferably in the utility space), strong communication, project management expertise, and problem-solving abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage end-to-end project delivery for:
Client condition monitoring rollout
Enhancements and upgrades in APM
Other improvement initiatives in asset and operations technology
Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, Cybersecurity, Field Operations, and Asset Management teams
Drive planning and execution of future initiatives including:
Coordinate with IT teams for infrastructure setup, remote connectivity, and issue resolution related to project equipment and software
Track project milestones, risks, and budgets using tools such as Jira, MS Planner, and SharePoint
Maintain documentation and dashboards for program and executive reporting
Required Experience:
5+ years of experience in project management, ideally in utility or asset-intensive industries
Strong coordination experience with IT teams on infrastructure, remote access, and network setups
Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
Proven problem-solving abilities
Nice-to-Have Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, Project Management, or related field
Familiarity with APM platforms, monitoring systems, and asset health analytics
Experience managing SharePoint sites, Jira, and similar planning tools
PMP certification or similar credential
