Project Manager / Operations Leader

We are seeking a hands-on Project Manager / Operations Leader to oversee commercial access control and security system installations throughout the Fort Lauderdale area.

This position combines project management, field operations, and team leadership. The ideal candidate has progressed from a technical installation background into managing projects and technicians while remaining comfortable with programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting security systems.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of project operations and help build and develop a growing branch.

Key Responsibilities

· Manage multiple commercial security installation projects from planning through completion.

· Oversee project schedules, budgets, job costing, change orders, and quality standards.

· Supervise, train, and coordinate field technicians and subcontractors.

· Oversee installation and integration of access control, CCTV, gate automation, intercoms, and keyless entry systems.

· Provide hands-on technical support with programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting.

· Coordinate with general contractors, electricians, IT teams, and customers.

· Establish and improve operational procedures, scheduling, and project execution.

· Maintain customer communication throughout projects and ensure timely closeout.

Qualifications

· 5+ years of experience in commercial security systems installation or construction operations.

· 2+ years of experience supervising technicians, crews, or subcontractors.

· Direct hands-on experience installing and programming commercial access control systems is required.

· Working experience with at least two additional systems, including CCTV, gate automation, audio-visual, or keyless entry.

· Knowledge of low-voltage wiring, panels, power supplies, and system troubleshooting.

· Experience managing multiple commercial projects, budgets, schedules, and change orders.

· Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.

· Experience with platforms such as Brivo, Lenel, Genetec, Avigilon, or similar systems is a plus.

· Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to local jobsites.
