Healthcare Project Manager

Job Description

Lead healthcare construction projects from preconstruction through final completion.

Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and cost controls.

Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, and facility staff.

Manage subcontractor procurement, contracting, and performance.

Ensure compliance with healthcare-specific regulations, standards, and safety requirements.

Monitor project progress and proactively address schedule, quality, and budget challenges.

Review drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documentation.

Lead project meetings and provide regular updates to stakeholders.

Manage change orders, RFIs, submittals, and document control processes.

Oversee quality assurance and quality control initiatives.

Ensure projects are executed safely and in accordance with company policies and OSHA standards.

Support business development efforts by maintaining strong client relationships and identifying future opportunities.

Coordinate project closeout activities, punch list completion, and turnover documentation.

The Successful Applicant

2-5+ years of Project Management experience with a General Contractor.

Demonstrated experience managing healthcare construction projects, including occupied renovation environments.

Strong understanding of healthcare facility requirements, infection control procedures, and phased construction planning.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects, budgets, and schedules simultaneously.

Experience with project delivery methods including Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, and CM at Risk.

Strong financial management and cost-control skills.

Ability to build and maintain relationships with healthcare clients and project stakeholders.

Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Proficient with construction management software, project scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.

OSHA 30 certification preferred.

Experience working with hospitals, medical centers, outpatient facilities, or healthcare systems strongly preferred.
