Project Manager - Retail and Restaurant Construction

A growing commercial general contractor in the western Chicago suburbs is looking for an experienced Project Manager to run retail, restaurant and commercial interior projects. You'll own your projects from preconstruction through closeout, work closely with owners and field teams, and have a real voice in how the work gets done. Design-build experience is a big plus.

What You'll Do

• Manage commercial, retail and restaurant projects from preconstruction through closeout
• Build and manage budgets, schedules, buyout and subcontracts
• Lead design-build coordination with owners, architects and engineers
• Track cost, change orders and forecasts, and report project status to owners and leadership
• Partner with superintendents to keep projects safe, on schedule and on budget
• Build lasting relationships with clients and trade partners

What You Bring

• 7+ years of project management experience with a general contractor
• Experience on retail, restaurant, tenant improvement or other commercial projects
• Design-build experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of scheduling, estimating and contract management
• Clear communication and solid organization skills
• A degree in construction management, engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience

• Pay range: $110,000–$145,000 per year, based on experience
