Our client is a respected General Contractor/Construction Management firm with more than 40 years of success in the New England construction market. The company generates approximately $120 million in annual revenue and has grown from a small carpentry operation into a diversified builder serving both public and private sector clients. Their portfolio includes K-12 schools, municipal facilities, public safety buildings, libraries, multifamily housing, affordable housing, assisted living communities, and historic preservation projects. Typical project values range from $10M-$75M and include both ground-up construction and complex renovation/expansion work. With a team of approximately 40-50 construction professionals, the company has developed a reputation for delivering high-quality projects while maintaining a collaborative culture and reasonable workloads. They have also recently invested in expanding their technology capabilities, including the development of an in-house BIM department.

Job Description

• Manage all sitework and civil construction scopes across multiple active projects
• Oversee 3-4 projects simultaneously, focusing specifically on sitework operations
• Coordinate closely with field superintendents, subcontractors, engineers, and project stakeholders
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, procurement activities, and cost controls related to sitework scopes
• Review plans, specifications, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and site logistics
• Monitor project performance to ensure safety, quality, schedule, and financial goals are achieved
• Utilize project management software and company systems to maintain accurate project documentation and reporting
• Serve as the primary project management lead for sitework operations while working independently with minimal oversight

The Successful Applicant

• 5-7+ years of construction project management experience
• Proven experience managing sitework, civil construction, or self-perform construction projects
• At least several years of lead Project Management experience with direct project ownership
• Ability to work autonomously and make informed decisions in a lean team environment
• Strong understanding of site development, utilities, excavation, grading, and civil construction processes
• Proficiency with construction technology and project management software platforms
• Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills
• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required
