Project Manager – Structural Steel Erection

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee structural steel erection projects from award through completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in steel erection and be comfortable managing schedules, budgets, subcontractors, field crews, and client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Manage structural steel erection projects from start to finish
• Oversee project schedules, budgets, costs, and overall performance
• Coordinate with general contractors, owners, engineers, and field personnel
• Review contracts, drawings, specifications, and project requirements
• Coordinate steel deliveries, erection schedules, cranes, equipment, and manpower
• Manage subcontractors, vendors, RFIs, submittals, and change orders
• Conduct project meetings and provide regular updates to management
• Monitor project progress and address issues to keep work on schedule
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget
• Support project closeout and final documentation

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience in structural steel erection
• Strong understanding of steel erection processes, sequencing, rigging, and field operations
• Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and erection plans
• Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and contracts
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Experience working with general contractors and commercial construction teams
