Reporting Structure:
- Reports to: Vice President – Civil / Operations
- Direct Supervision of: Project Superintendent, Project Foreman, Field Personnel
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Civil Project Manager is responsible for efficiently and cost-effectively managing assigned projects, working closely with supervisors and subordinates to plan, schedule, and track daily, weekly, and monthly project activities. This includes ensuring adherence to quality, cost, billing, staffing, productivity, and profitability standards. The Project Manager serves as the main channel of communication between Our Client and its customers for active projects. Responsibilities also include site preparation, fostering a cooperative working environment, ensuring safety, and upholding the company's reputation through quality and timely performance. Additionally, the Project Manager is accountable for cost-cutting measures, goal-setting, management controls, problem resolution, subcontractor oversight, and maintaining open communication with personnel.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and provide exemplary customer service
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely perform the duties and responsibilities listed, meeting all qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
- Regular and punctual attendance
- Ability to stand and walk up to 8-10 hours per day and carry 35 lbs. unassisted over uneven terrain and reasonable grades
Additional Responsibilities:
- Conducting periodic performance reviews
