Job Description:

Senior Project Manager - Warehouse Automation & Logistics Technology

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a warehouse process automation initiative focused on improving inbound logistics operations through the implementation of a SaaS-based document scanning solution. This role will be responsible for driving the successful adoption of new technology and operational processes within a fast-paced distribution and warehouse environment.

The ideal candidate brings a combination of strong project leadership experience, knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics, and exceptional stakeholder management skills. More importantly, they possess a high degree of ownership, curiosity, and the ability to challenge assumptions in a constructive manner to ensure successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of a warehouse automation project involving the implementation of a SaaS solution to digitize and automate inbound logistics documentation, including bills of lading.
  • Partner with warehouse operations, logistics, business stakeholders, technology teams, and vendors to ensure successful project execution and adoption.
  • Identify operational impacts, process changes, risks, and dependencies associated with transforming warehouse workflows.
  • Drive project planning, status reporting, issue management, risk mitigation, and executive communication.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering, process mapping, testing, training, and change management activities.
  • Anticipate potential project challenges by asking thoughtful questions, validating assumptions, and ensuring proposed solutions align with business objectives.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor who can effectively challenge project teams and stakeholders when necessary while maintaining positive working relationships.
  • Foster accountability across teams and ensure commitments, timelines, and deliverables remain on track.
  • Champion continuous improvement and proactively identify opportunities to enhance project outcomes.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of Project Management experience leading large-scale business and technology initiatives.
  • Experience managing warehouse automation, logistics technology, supply chain, distribution center, or operational transformation projects.
  • Proven success implementing SaaS platforms or enterprise applications that impact business processes and end-user operations.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including operations, business leadership, IT, vendors, and subject matter experts.

Desired Attributes

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Curiosity: Naturally seeks to understand the business, operational processes, and project objectives. Able to ask insightful questions and quickly identify gaps, inconsistencies, or potential risks.
  • Constructive Influence: Comfortable challenging business leaders, technical teams, and project stakeholders without being confrontational. Skilled at driving alignment through thoughtful discussion and data-driven decision-making.
  • Ownership Mindset: Treats the project as their own, taking accountability for outcomes, proactively solving problems, and driving issues to resolution.
  • Critical Thinking: Able to recognize when timelines, solutions, or requirements may not be realistic and facilitate productive conversations to address concerns.
  • Leadership Presence: Builds trust across all levels of the organization and is viewed as a partner focused on project success.

Preferred Experience

  • Distribution center or warehouse operations environments.
  • Logistics, transportation, inbound/outbound fulfillment, or supply chain technology initiatives.
  • Process automation and digital transformation projects.
  • Change management and operational readiness planning.

This is a great opportunity for a project manager who thrives at the intersection of technology, operations, and business transformation and who takes pride in driving successful outcomes through leadership, curiosity, and ownership.
