Provide technical leadership and support, through the application of expertise and the development and leadership of the teams within their group, to Operations, Engineering, Approvals, Underwriting, Public Relations, and external entities including clients, industry groups and other stakeholders to promote and support the Factory Mutual (FM) business model. Ensure a current awareness of relevant technological advances and academic and research activities worldwide in the discipline of their group; enhance and defend FM's position in technical areas, seek opportunities, under the guidance of the Area Director, to influence the direction of the technical community.
