Top Civil Utility Contractor in the Northeast!Client is a top civil utility contractor in the Northeast that specializes in water/wastewater treatment facility and pump station rehabilitation.Job DescriptionProject Leadership & ManagementProvide overall leadership and direction for complex water and wastewater treatment facility and pump station rehabilitation projects.Manage project execution from contract award through commissioning and final acceptance.Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, manpower forecasts, procurement logs, and cost reports.Ensure compliance with contract documents, drawings, specifications, permits, and regulatory requirements.Lead project startup meetings and develop comprehensive project execution plans.Monitor project profitability and implement corrective actions when necessary.Direct and mentor Project Engineers, Assistant Project Managers, Superintendents, and field staff.Financial ManagementDevelop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.Review and approve subcontract agreements, purchase orders, and vendor commitments.Track and manage project costs, labor productivity, equipment utilization, and material expenditures.Prepare and negotiate change orders, claims, and contract modifications.Review monthly cost reports and ensure accurate revenue recognition and project forecasting.Manage owner billing, subcontractor payments, and project financial closeout.Scheduling & ProcurementDevelop and maintain CPM schedules utilizing Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.Coordinate long-lead equipment procurement including: pumps, blowers, generators, electrical switchgear, MCCs, process equipment, instrumentation and control systems.Monitor critical procurement milestones and material deliveries.Coordinate startup, testing, and commissioning activities.Client & Stakeholder RelationsServe as the primary point of contact with owners, consulting engineers, regulatory agencies, and subcontractors.Lead progress meetings and provide regular project status updates.Build and maintain strong relationships with municipal clients and engineering consultants.Resolve project issues proactively while maintaining positive client relationships.Coordinate inspections, testing, and regulatory compliance requirements.Water/Wastewater Construction ManagementManage construction activities involving: water treatment plants, wastewater treatment facilities, pump station rehabilitation and upgrades, process mechanical systems, structural concrete construction, underground utility installations, electrical and instrumentation systems, SCADA integration, force mains and gravity sewers, site civil improvements.Coordinate phased construction activities within active operating facilities.Develop shutdown, bypass pumping, and facility transition plans.Ensure uninterrupted operation of existing facilities during construction.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
