The Project Manager (PM) has full oversight for the entire project. They are responsible for safety, quality, schedule, coordination, profitability and progress of the work. The PM will be the main point of contact for the owner and handles all commercial aspects. They will be involved in the project from advertisement, to estimating and award, through construction and final completion. The PM will be responsible for one or more projects depending on contract amounts and project demand.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Preconstruction
Participate in Estimating process which may include take off, pricing self-perform work, schedule development, constructability review, vendor communication, and closeout
Schedule Development
Budget Feasibility Study and Control Estimate
Subcontractor and Vendor buyout, including negotiating scope and schedule for contract inclusion
Compliance with Documentation Requirements
During Construction
Monitoring progression of field work, in conjunction with project superintendent
Commercial Management
Identifying and notifying the owner of contract changes in scope
Change order and claim preparation
Correspondence and negotiations with clients & subcontractors
Cost Control
Preplanning Work with Budget Data
Job Team Cost Reviews
Corporate Reporting and Reviews
Trimester Reforecasts
Schedule Updates with Narratives, Time Impact Analysis Narratives
Subcontractor and Vendor Relations
Invoice Approval
Site Staff Personnel Management
Monitoring Compliance with Quality and Safety Standards
Monitoring Compliance with Client Policies and Regulations
Post Construction
Support Team to Complete Punchlist and Resolve Open Work with Client
Finalize Commercial Issues
Ensure Completion of all Documentation and Client Requirements
Other Areas
Support of Corporate Policies
Being Readily Available to Staff and Client
Qualifications
Required
Minimum of 10 years of experience preferably in heavy highway civil construction
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or similar degree
Strong Technical and Analytical Background in Construction
Preferred
Experience with software such as HeavyJob, HeavyBid, Procore, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, BIM, and Fieldwire is preferred
Compensation Range: $130,000- $180,000
