Project Manager

Project Manager for fulfillment, repair, refurbishment, and rebox operations drive supply chain efficiency, reverses logistics optimization, and ensures operational quality. This specific role requires an operations-focused leader who can synchronize warehouse workflows, engineering diagnostics, and inventory management systems. In Lenovo NCSC IDG the automatization will be a fundamental part of the projects, this means to interact with cross functional teams in the organization, and considering those internal teams as customers, structure and discipline is required to deliver the correct project management results in cost, time and quality, hands on is required due to some times the project manager will collaborate in the floor with the cross functional team.
Job Summary
We are seeking a Project Manager - Reverse Logistics & Operations to lead high-priority initiatives across our fulfillment, diagnostic repair, refurbishment, and rebox lifecycles. You will design, optimize, and execute end-to-end warehouse and processing workflows to maximize yield, minimize turnaround time (TAT), and ensure pristine product quality. The ideal candidate blends traditional project governance with deep hands-on experience in high-volume warehouse operations.
Core Responsibilities
- Workflow Engineering: Design and optimize facility floor layouts and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for incoming returns, testing, component-level repair, and final reboxing.
- Capacity Planning: Forecast processing volumes to align labor scheduling, bench testing equipment, and packaging supply availability with business demand.
- Systems Integration: Partner with IT and Operations to integrate and upgrade Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and serial-number tracking databases.
- Vendor & Parts Management: Oversee downstream component supplier networks to ensure zero production halts due to missing spare parts or packaging materials.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead Lean Six Sigma initiatives to reduce scrap rates, eliminate sorting bottlenecks, and lower the overall cost-to-repair.
- MSCFT tools: Understand Microsoft packages, word, excel, visio, PPT, project no limited however the more basic to perform the job
Required Technical Skills
- Supply Chain Software: Expert-level mastery of WMS software (e.g., SAP WM/EWM, Manhattan, Oracle) and inventory serialization tracking.
- Industrial Optimization: Deep familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, 5S methodologies, Value Stream Mapping, and Six Sigma tools.
- Metrics & Analytics: Advanced skill in building performance dashboards tracking Turnaround Time (TAT), First-Time Fix Rate (FTFR), and Yield Rates.
- Hardware Lifecycle Knowledge: Basic understanding of testing diagnostic tools, static-sensitive handling (ESD controls), and component testing fixtures.
Essential Behavioral Skills (Soft Skills)
- Cross-Functional Bridge: Ability to translate complex engineering repair requirements into simple, repeatable tasks for warehouse floor associates.
- High-Stress Composure: Resilience and quick execution when dealing with sudden high-volume spikes in product returns (e.g., post-holiday peak season).
- Root-Cause Orientation: A natural focus on digging into data to find why a specific repair or rebox batch failed quality audits, rather than applying quick fixes.
Clear Performance Expectations
- Turnaround Time (TAT): Meet or exceed targeted cycle times from the exact moment a unit enters the receiving dock to when it hits the "ready-for-sale" reboxed stock.
- Yield Optimization: Drive continuous improvement targets to increase the percentage of units successfully refurbished versus those designated as scrap or raw parts.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce 100% adherence to electronic waste (e-waste) disposal compliance, labor standards, and facility safety regulations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
- Experience: 7-10 years managing complex projects specifically within fulfillment centers, electronics/device refurbishment labs, or reverse logistics hubs.
- Certification: Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt is highly preferred, alongside a standard PMP credential.
