Hiring 4 Project Managers ASAP to run complex electromechanical equipment projects for large hydropower plants, from handover through closeout. There are two levels: Senior Project Manager (salary midpoint $143K) and Project Manager (salary midpoint $112K), plus a bonus. Candidates must be in York, PA or willing to relocate.

Can't name the size of past projects or describe the commercial terms they managed
Relied on others to build and maintain the schedule
Vague or noncommittal about relocation or onsite days
Resume Screening Notes for AI
Prioritize project size, number of projects running at once, and industry (heavy manufacturing/industrial)
Don't penalize missing hydro experience, degree, certifications, or SAP/Primavera
Look for evidence of schedule ownership, budget/P&L ownership, contract administration, change orders, and claims
Look for managing vendors, subcontractors, and POs
Flag patterns of short tenure; weigh overall career stability
A more junior candidate with relevant industrial project experience and clear drive can still be considered; a senior PM could oversee them
Note location; flag non-local candidates for a relocation check, don't reject them
Two levels. Senior Project Manager fits large-scale project ownership ($50M-$400M) and several projects at once. Project Manager fits smaller contract values (around $10M) or a more junior candidate with strong drive.
Don't screen anyone out for comp expectations above the midpoint. Flag them for recruiter review.
Suggested Screening Focus Areas
Size, complexity, and number of projects managed
Schedule building and maintenance
Cost control, contracts, change orders, and claims
Vendor and subcontractor management
Reasons for each job change
