Project Specialist – Talent Mobility (Relocation & Immigration)

Logistics & Compensation

  • Work Arrangement: 100% Remote
  • Schedule: 40 hours per week, PST hours (regardless of candidate location). No overtime, no weekend work.
  • Pay Rate: $24.29/ hour on W2
  • Equipment: PC - Standard Package Provided
  • Contract Duration: 7 months 

About the Role

The Nordstrom Talent Mobility Team is seeking a Project Specialist to support our Relocation and Immigration programs. In this role, you will act as a vital liaison between recruiters, candidates, employees, human resources, legal counsel, vendor partners, and business leaders.

The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, a strong collaborator, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing, and sometimes ambiguous environment. Your goal will be to understand both employee and business needs to provide a best-in-class employee experience while quickly earning the trust of all stakeholders.

A Day in the Life

  • Vendor Partnership: Partner with relocation and immigration vendors to initiate processes for new hires and existing employees.

  • Data & Tracking: Maintain, track, and provide periodic reports on all relocation initiations and immigration data.

  • Legal Coordination: Partner with internal stakeholders and outside legal counsel to coordinate immigration-related needs.

  • Policy Guidance: Provide clear guidance to stakeholders and partners to ensure full understanding of relocation and immigration policies and procedures.

  • Cross-Functional Support: Take on additional tasks within the Talent Mobility and broader Talent Strategy & Operations spaces as business needs evolve.

Qualifications & Skills

Experience & Education

  • Prior Experience: Background in immigration, paralegal work, and/or relocation programs is strongly preferred.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

Technical & Soft Skills

  • Organization & Execution: Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines and provide timely responses.

  • Adaptability: Ability to multitask and ensure strict data accuracy under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively handle inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.

  • Problem Solving: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Systems & Tools:

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (with strong Excel capabilities).

    • Ability to quickly learn various platform tools and systems (ATS, HRIS, ServiceNow ticketing, and vendor platforms).

  • Flexibility: Flexibility on work hours depending on business needs and/or time zones.
