Environmental Air Systems, a full-service mechanical contractor, is seeking a Project Superintendent to join our manufacturing team in Rural Hall, North Carolina. In this role you will supervise a team of 20 to 30 employees at our manufacturing plant.

The Project Superintendent directs the manufacturing of the department, assuring timely and efficient production HVAC structural frames. Additionally, the Project Superintendent will foster a culture of open communication and continuous improvement. The Project Superintendent will also be responsible for keeping both management and employees informed on the status of operations and progress towards production goals.

Schedule: 6:00am-4:30pm with OT as necessary

Location: Rural Hall, NC

Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize safety, quality, and housekeeping
  • Monitor employee productivity
  • Provide positive feedback and constructive coaching and counseling when needed
  • Monitor employee time and record keeping
  • Prepare and submit production reports daily
  • Comply with manufacturing build schedules
  • Increase production output through lean principles
  • Manage employee hours to fulfill orders under budget
  • Review drawings to ensure production feasibility
  • Build a High Performing Team
  • Able to effectively troubleshoot and permanently solve production issues

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in supervision
  • Understanding of manufacturing process flow, identifying bottlenecks and constraints
  • Knowledge of welding, structural steel processes, and pipe installation is a plus
  • Can work independently without supervision and in a team environment
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in email, spreadsheets, word processing, and presentation software
  • Must be hands-on. Will spend 90% of time on the production floor

Education Requirements:

  • Minimum of a high school education or equivalent
  • Trade School completion preferred

Job Requirements/Special Skills:

  • Ability to work in conditions of varying heat and cold and where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, push, and pull throughout the shift
