Project Support 2 – Labor Relations
Location: Birmingham, AL

Contract- 3 Years

Client- Alabama Power

Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Projects support Coordinator to support our Labor Relations Department. This critical role will provide comprehensive administrative assistance, coordinate project-related activities, and ensure efficient day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, and can communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and track job postings and related documentation

  • Support event planning by booking venues, coordinating catering, and handling logistics

  • Maintain timekeeping records and process employee expense reports accurately

  • Arrange travel for department staff and visitors, including transportation and accommodations

  • Assist with budgeting and financial tracking for departmental activities

  • Order office supplies, manage inventory, and ensure department resources are stocked and organized

  • Organize and prepare materials for internal and external meetings

  • Provide administrative support on ad hoc tasks as needed to support Labor Relations operations

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal

  • Strong conflict resolution capabilities; ability to navigate sensitive situations with discretion

  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with a high level of integrity

  • Effective multitasking and prioritization skills

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting Human Resources, Labor Relations, or similar functions

  • Familiarity with corporate timekeeping and expense management systems

  • Background in coordinating administrative projects in a unionized or regulatory environment
