So, what will the Project/Warehouse Manager at Terrestris do?
The Project/Warehouse Manager serves as Terrestris' primary on-site representative responsible for leading all day-to-day warehouse and contract operations in support of the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). This role oversees receiving, storage, inventory management, material handling, order fulfillment, and local distribution activities while ensuring operational efficiency, quality, and compliance with contract requirements. The Project/Warehouse Manager works closely with Government leadership, the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), and warehouse personnel to prioritize workloads, allocate resources, monitor Warehouse Management System (WMS) performance, and implement continuous process improvements. By fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and exceptional customer service, the Project/Warehouse Manager ensures mission success, maintains audit readiness, and delivers reliable logistics support to meet the operational needs of the customer.
What does a typical day look like for a Project/Warehouse Manager?
You will:
Lead all day-to-day contract operations as the Contractor's primary on-site representative.
Conduct start-of-shift operational meetings with supervisors to review production goals, customer priorities, staffing levels, safety concerns, and workload forecasts.
Monitor warehouse operations across receiving, storage, stow, issue/pick, material consolidation, and local delivery activities to ensure performance objectives are achieved.
Coordinate directly with the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), Government warehouse leadership, production personnel, and other stakeholders regarding workload priorities and mission requirements.
Review Warehouse Management System (WMS) metrics, inventory accuracy, productivity reports, and audit indicators to identify trends and proactively resolve issues.
Allocate personnel and adjust staffing schedules to support changing production demands while minimizing overtime and maximizing operational efficiency.
Ensure compliance with contract requirements, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), quality control processes, and audit sustainment requirements.
Oversee implementation of corrective actions resulting from audits, quality inspections, or customer feedback.
Review and approve required operational reports, performance metrics, and contract deliverables before submission to the Government.
Promote a culture of safety, accountability, continuous improvement, and customer service throughout warehouse operations.
What qualifications do you look for?
You might be the professional we're looking for if you have:
Authorization to work in the United States permanently without sponsorship.
An active Secret clearance.
Minimum three (3) years of experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) or equivalent within the previous five (5) years.
Experience managing warehouses, distribution, or logistics operations in a military, DoD, depot, or large industrial environment.
Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary warehouse teams and managing daily operations in a fast-paced environment.
Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, material handling, and distribution processes.
Experience planning workloads, allocating resources, adjusting staffing, and balancing customer priorities while maintaining operational efficiency.
Knowledge of quality management principles, continuous process improvement, and audit-ready operations.
Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills, with experience serving as the primary interface between operational teams and Government customers.
Ability to obtain and maintain required installation access, Common Access Card (CAC) eligibility, and applicable Government security requirements. Ability to successfully complete a Tier 3 (T3) Personnel Security Investigation (PSI).
