Description
Role: Property Accountant
Pay: $36.00 - $45.00/hr
Location: Gardena, CA
Benefits: This role is eligible for medical, dental and vision.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their accounting career (1–2 years of experience) who is eager to grow in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. This role will support full-cycle property accounting, from accounts payable through monthly financial reporting.
This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with long-term growth potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day accounting for assigned property portfolio
- Process accounts payable, including invoice coding, approvals, and payments
- Prepare monthly financial reports, including accruals, variance analysis, and supporting schedules
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies
- Maintain and reconcile tenant ledgers
- Review and perform bank reconciliations
- Assist with CAM reconciliations, reforecasting, and audit support
- Serve as a point of contact for owners and investors, providing financial updates and support
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of accounting experience (property accounting a plus)
- Experience with AP, reconciliations, and month-end close preferred
- Familiarity with Yardi, AppFolio, or Buildium is a plus
- Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment with minimal structure
- Proactive, self-starter with strong problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders
- No degree required
