6 days ago Be among the first 25 applicantsProperty Accounting Manager (Salary Range: $120,000 – $130,000)Hybrid- 4 days in office and WFH on FridayLHH is seeking a Accounting Manager for a Residential Real Estate company located in Dallas. This will be on the ownership side. This role will oversee the accounting function, lead a small team, and ensure timely and accurate GAAP financial reporting across a growing portfolio of properties. In addition to holding a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or economics, the ideal candidate will bring at least 5-7 years of progressive accounting leadership experience, strong property management expertise, and a proven track record in managing teams and implementing process efficiencies.ResponsibilitiesOversee daily accounting operations including general ledger activities, accounts payable, reconciliations, payroll, and cash management.Lead, mentor, and develop accounting team members while ensuring appropriate training and professional growth opportunities.Manage the preparation of financial statements and ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies.Partner with external auditors to lead the annual property audit process and provide necessary documentation.Support the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses, providing insights to leadership.Drive improvements to the month-end close process, implementing efficiencies as the property portfolio expands.Collaborate with property management teams to deliver timely, accurate, and customer-focused reporting.Monitor intercompany transactions, ensuring proper allocation and elimination of balances.Contribute to cross-functional committees, special projects, and ad hoc financial analysis as needed.Ensure robust accounting policies and procedures are in place to minimize risk and strengthen internal controls.Client RequirementsBachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or economics required; CPA or MBA strongly preferred.Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant accounting leadership experience, ideally within property management.Strong knowledge of GAAP, consolidation, internal controls, and external reporting.Proven ability to evaluate and enhance financial systems and processes for scalability.Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with external partners.If you are interested in this job or other Accounting and Finance career opportunities from LHH Recruitment Solutions please email Rami Muhanna at rami.muhanna@lhh.com or visit our website at www.lhh.comSeniority level Mid-Senior levelEmployment type Full-timeJob function Accounting/AuditingIndustries AccountingPension planGet notified about new Property Accounting Manager jobs in Dallas, TX .#J-18808-Ljbffr
