Description

We are looking for a technically strong, people-focused P&C Claims Manager to lead a team of claim adjusters through high-quality claim handling, coaching, and ongoing change. In this role, you will help associates grow their technical confidence, apply policy accurately, tell the claim story clearly, and deliver consistent service in a fast-moving claims environment.

This is a great opportunity for a leader who enjoys developing people, using data to solve operational challenges, and helping a team stay future-ready as workflows, tools, and business needs continue to evolve.

What makes us different?

  • A leadership role with meaningful impact on team performance, technical claim quality, and associate development.

  • An opportunity to help shape future-ready claims practices as tools, workflows, and assignment models evolve.

  • A team environment that values coaching, accountability, collaboration, and practical problem solving.

  • Exposure to broader property claims work and cross-team support based on business needs.

  • A chance to bring your technical expertise forward while helping others build confidence and consistency.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

  • Lead, coach, develop, and mentor a team of associates responsible for investigating and settling property and casualty claims.

  • Set clear expectations, reinforce productivity and quality standards, and coach to behaviors that drive strong claim outcomes.

  • Support technically sound coverage decisions by coaching associates on policy interpretation, estimate review, documentation, and claim resolution.

  • Use data, quality reviews, and operational observations to identify trends, remove barriers, and improve team effectiveness.

  • Lead through change by helping the team adapt to evolving workflows, technology usage, claim assignments, and business priorities.

  • Resolve escalated or non-routine customer issues, support complaint resolution, and ensure timely follow-up occurs.

  • Partner across internal teams, vendors, clients, TPAs, and other claims leaders to support business needs and maintain effective working relationships.

  • Handle additional duties, projects, training, and development activities as business needs require.

What are the requirements needed for this position?

  • P&C Adjusters License

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working in the claims process in a P&C environment

  • A minimum of 2 years of supervisory/management or team lead experience including coaching and developing employees.

What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

  • Property claims technical expertise, including the ability to coach others on coverage, policy interpretation, and claim file quality.

  • Experience using Xactimate to review and/or write property or contents estimates.

  • Carrier claims experience preferred; IA, vendor, CAT, or high-volume claims experience may also be helpful.

  • Experience leading through change, ambiguity, or transformation while keeping teams engaged and accountable.

  • Comfort using data to identify trends, evaluate operational impact, and recommend practical solutions.

  • Leadership courage, strong communication skills, and the ability to have direct, constructive coaching conversations.

  • Bilingual a plus.
