Uptown Rental Properties is looking for a dependable, hands-on Groundskeeper/Field Technician to help keep our apartment communities clean, safe, and looking their best.

What You’ll Do

• Maintain exterior grounds, common areas, and shared spaces across Uptown properties
• Handle trash removal, compactors, and scheduled movement of trash bins
• Remove litter and help maintain clean, attractive property grounds
• Complete gutter cleaning, leaf blowing, pet station maintenance, and other routine property upkeep
• Complete daily assignments and work orders using an iPhone-based system
• Travel between properties using a company-provided vehicle
• Monitor property conditions and report maintenance, safety, or service concerns
• Assist with larger projects and help move furniture, appliances, equipment, and materials
• Respond to changing priorities and unplanned property needs throughout the day
• Help with snow removal, salting, and weather-related response when needed
• Communicate professionally with residents, coworkers, and property teams

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in property maintenance, porter work, groundskeeping, landscaping, facilities, construction, janitorial work, or another hands-on environment
• Are willing to handle all aspects of property upkeep—including trash, litter, grounds work, and cleanup
• Are comfortable working outdoors in heat, cold, rain, and snow
• Can manage multiple assignments and prioritize your work throughout the day
• Communicate professionally with residents and team members
• Are comfortable using a smartphone or mobile app to manage work assignments
• Have a valid driver's license and are comfortable driving a company vehicle between properties
• Can successfully complete a criminal background check and motor vehicle report

Physical Requirements

This is an active job, and candidates should be comfortable with:

• Standing and walking for approximately 90% of the workday
• Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and squatting
• Climbing ladders up to approximately 9 feet
• Frequently lifting 50+ pounds
• Occasionally assisting with items weighing 100+ pounds
• Working outdoors throughout the year
• Wearing required PPE and following established safety practices

Pay & Benefits

• $17–$18.50/hour, based on experience
