Now Hiring: Roving Property Manager

BG Staffing is seeking an experienced Roving Property Manager to oversee operations across multiple apartment communities in the Portland area. This position is ideal for a hands-on leader who can quickly adapt to different properties, support onsite teams, maintain compliance standards, and drive resident satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in affordable housing and property management, with HUD experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Travel between assigned communities to provide operational support and leadership
• Supervise and support a team of 3 maintenance technicians
• Oversee day-to-day property operations, leasing activity, rent collections, and resident relations
• Ensure compliance with affordable housing regulations, Fair Housing requirements, and company policies
• Maintain occupancy goals and support leasing and marketing initiatives
• Review budgets, financial reporting, and property performance metrics
• Coordinate vendor services and property maintenance needs
• Maintain accurate resident files and compliance documentation
• Address resident concerns promptly and professionally
• Ensure communities remain clean, safe, and well-maintained

Qualifications

• Previous Property Manager experience required
• Affordable housing experience is required
• HUD experience is highly preferred
• Experience supervising maintenance and onsite staff
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• Knowledge of property management software
• Ability to manage multiple priorities across several communities
• Professional demeanor with excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel between properties as needed
