This opportunity is well-suited for a recent engineering graduate or an early-career seeking hands-on experience in prototype vehicle builds. Candidates with internships, Formula SAE participation, capstone projects, or experience in design, manufacturing, and process engineering are encouraged to apply.

Job Description:

The Prototype Build Engineer will be responsible for managing all prototype build activities including developing and communicating build plans based on vehicle specifications, coordinating purchasing, tracking development, and program timing for parts. In addition, this individual will be responsible for leading multiple teams to ensure all program deliverables are met and any issues affecting build quality, engineering design, manufacturing process, and timing are resolved. The Prototype Build Engineer must have the ability to direct issue resolution at all levels.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical/Aero/Industrial Engineering
Basic vehicle build process knowledge
Fluency in Microsoft Office applications
Strong leadership and excellent communication skills
Must be comfortable with preparing presentations and presenting to all levels
strong self-starter able to manage multiple programs and communicate status to management
Formula SAE experience or relevant automotive internship experience is preferred for entry level candidates

Preferred:

Mechanical Engineering degree is preferred
Minimum 2-5 years of relevant experience in automotive, aerospace field
