The ProviderOne Interface Analyst (IT Business Analyst - Journey) manages, monitors, and troubleshoots electronic data interface exchanges connected to ProviderOne, the State's mission-critical Medicaid claims processing system. The position leads needed research and provides consultation and analysis activities on interface-related ProviderOne elements and attributes to coordinate, manage and maintain the data transfer of key information between systems. This position suits an IT professional with experience in system data interfaces exchanges including but not limited to webservices and API management. It also offers the opportunity to learn and grow a skillset in health care infrastructure statewide.

All HCA employees will apply an equity lens to their work, which may include but is not limited to all analyses of core business and processes.

About the division:

HCA's Medicaid Management Information System, named ProviderOne, is a mission critical system. This large-scale enterprise system is operated and maintained in the Apple Health Administration (AHA) within the ProviderOne Operations (P1O) section. ProviderOne and the Pharmacy Point of Sale (POS) systems process over five million claims per month and processes/pays transactions in excess of $14 billion annually to providers of services to Medicaid clients statewide.

About the position:

This journey level IT business analyst position reports to the ProviderOne Technical Manager and is responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, technical design review/approval, testing, and management of all ProviderOne and POS system interfaces. The position ensures application interfacing with Extensible Markup Language (XML), Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) coded web services and Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) all run smoothly without errors or issues. In addition to system Interface management, the position also is responsible for working with other teams within state government and vendors to ensure data agreements with applicable system partners are up to date as well as oversight and maintenance of the ProviderOne correspondence application, DOC1.

This position is eligible to telework and is typically not required to report on-site. The default assigned work location of all Health Care Authority (HCA) positions - both on-site and telework eligible positions - is within the State of Washington. This position reports to Olympia, WA. Frequency of onsite work will vary based on business and operational needs. All agency employees are required to report on-site in Olympia on their first and last days of employment to pick up and return state-issued equipment, regardless of telework status or location.
