    Job Title: Provisional Therapist

    Location: Union, MO

    Department: Recovery Services

    Employment Type: Full-time

    Job Overview:

    Join our team as a Provisional Therapist and make a meaningful impact on lives. Working under the supervision of a licensed clinician, you'll assess, diagnose, and treat individuals, couples, and families using evidence-based approaches. You'll create personalized treatment plans, support clients in building coping skills, and help drive positive, lasting change. Candidates must hold a provisional license in counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide individual, group, and family counseling under supervision to support client treatment goals.

    • Conduct intakes, screenings, and comprehensive assessments within required timeframes.

    • Determine and document diagnoses; develop and update individualized treatment plans.

    • Participate in clinical meetings and provide case feedback.

    • Meet departmental service goals (CSGs).

    • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure services are authorized and documented timely.

    • Maintain accurate, compliant documentation and resolve charting deficiencies.

    • Support client transitions, including discharge planning and final documentation.

    • Complete required trainings and maintain regulatory/accreditation compliance.

    • Represent the agency professionally and build positive relationships with stakeholders.

    • Respond to crises and coordinate emergency services as needed.

    • Provide supervision, training, and clinical guidance when qualified.

    • Facilitate therapy sessions and specialty services (e.g., trauma, co-occurring).

    • Offer clinical consultation and support to team members.

    • Support organizational goals and perform additional duties as assigned.

    Education and Experience:

    • Must possess at least a Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or related field.

    • Holds provisional licensure with the applicable board of professional registration for the state that they are practicing as a professional counselor or social worker.

    • Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC), Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), or Provisionally Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (PLMFT)

    • Must be able to obtain full licensure with the applicable board of professional registration for the state they are practicing as a professional counselor or social worker. This includes completing all required clinical supervision hours and passing a licensing exam.

    • Must be willing to become licensed in additional states, other than the state currently licensed in.

    • Must be willing and comfortable with providing telehealth services to the individuals we serve (training will be provided).
