About the Role:
New Day Health Systems is looking for a passionate and dedicated Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our growing team in Catonsville, MD. Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments for new and existing patients
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of psychiatric and behavioral health conditions
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and medication management protocols
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications in accordance with evidence-based practice
• Collaborate with therapists, counselors, and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure holistic patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as clinically indicated

Requirements:

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Maryland
• Board certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
• DEA license and prescriptive authority in Maryland
• Experience in psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and psychopharmacology
• Strong knowledge of DSM-5 criteria and evidence-based psychiatric treatment modalities
• Excellent communication, empathy, and patient engagement skills
• Experience with EHR/EMR documentation systems preferred
