NurseAmerica is seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) for a full-time opportunity in Frederick, Maryland.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who is passionate about providing high-quality behavioral health care in a collaborative clinical environment. Both new graduates and experienced NPs are encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, sound clinical judgment, and a patient-centered approach to care.

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric and behavioral health assessments.

• Obtain and review patient medical and psychiatric histories.

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage psychiatric and behavioral health conditions within scope of practice.

• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.

• Prescribe and manage medications as appropriate.

• Monitor patient response to treatment and make adjustments as clinically indicated.

• Provide education to patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, and treatment plans.

• Monitor patient progress and provide appropriate follow-up care.

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

• Coordinate care and referrals when additional specialty services are required.

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining professional and clinical standards.

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with appropriate psychiatric/mental health specialization.

• Active Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) certification.

• Active Maryland NP license or Compact eligibility.

• NP candidates only; Physician Assistants are not eligible for this position.

• New graduates are welcome to apply.
