Pay Range: $140,000-$150,000 Per Year
Description:
• This position involves working as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner within a community-based health center in New York, NY.
• The role requires full-time commitment, providing psychiatric assessments and treatments, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.
• Proficiency in generic office software is necessary.
Requirements:
• Conduct initial and follow-up psychiatric evaluations and assessments.
• Perform comprehensive mental status exams and risk assessments.
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications for clients.
• Provide crisis intervention as needed.
• Formulate and discuss treatment plans with clients.
• Collaborate with primary psychotherapist on treatment planning.
• Maintain timely progress notes and record keeping.
Qualifications:
• Master of Science in Nursing with a post-master's certificate.
• License to practice as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
• 3-5 years of clinical experience with minority communities.
• Proficiency in group facilitation and knowledge of psychopathology.
• Experience with mental illness and substance abuse treatment.
• Bilingual (English-Spanish) is desirable.
• Experience with social service systems in New York City.
