Position details
- Location: Texarkana, Arkansas
- Employment type: Part-time or full-time
- Schedule: Standard business hours
- Work setting: Long-term care facilities
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on each patient’s needs.
- Prescribe, monitor, and manage psychotropic medications.
- Collaborate with facility staff and a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with applicable standards.
- Educate and support patients and families regarding mental health conditions and treatment plans.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives when applicable.
Required qualifications
- Master’s degree in nursing with a specialization in psychiatric-mental health nursing, or an equivalent qualification.
- Current Nurse Practitioner license valid for practice in Arkansas.
- Additional required credentials: AANP/ ANCC and DEA license required
Preferred qualification
- Familiarity with clinical documentation practices and occupational health principles.
